We are less than two months away from the release of FIFA22, and the fan anticipation is growing by the week. EA keeps adding to the hype by releasing weekly trailers for all their games modes, skill tree features and the changes that come with them.
The big reason fans should be so excited about the new release is the gameplay overhaul across all the different game modes. From Pro Clubs to FUT, and even Career Mode, everything is getting something new.
If you are a Career Mode player, then there are some great new features specifically for you. From Skill trees to new indepth player careers and Create A Club, each new feature will give all-new perks to boost your entire squad.
If you want to get into FIFA betting, then the changes in FUT are something to keep an eye out for.
If you are a Career Mode player, then there are some great new features specifically for you. From Skill trees to new indepth player careers and Create A Club, each new feature will give all-new perks to boost your entire squad.
The new player development feature will allow you to unlock the stats you want, not just what the predetermined training stats give you. Plus, it also rewards good play. Players will have even more control than ever before. Let’s do a little dive on skill trees. Here’s exactly how skill trees work in FIFA 22 Career Mode.
How Skill Trees Work
Skill trees are a new feature for player career mode that helps progress your player in a new way. Instead of playing the training games and mindlessly simming through once you complete them, you will be able to customize your desired skills. You progress through the skill tree by unlocking skills points and completing different objectives.
The skill increases are significant and will offer a noticeable improvement in the game. The skill boosts you unlock with each skill point offer notable improvements. As you navigate the skill trees, you will also find archetype nodes that provide the highest skill increases, allowing you to customize your playstyle further.
Unlocking Skill Points
Unlocking the skill points themselves is simple. You play the game and get experience. Much like FIFA21’s dynamic potential, the more you play, the more your player will grow. To be more specific, there are two sure-fire ways of getting skill points.
Like what was said above, the first is just by playing through your career. At the end of each match, you get XP based on your performance and how well you did fulfill your match objectives. The better you play, the faster you’ll progress. Other factors like your manager rating can have an impact on your growth.
The other is through training. With the training rework for FIFA 22, instead of directly earning attributes through exercises, you get a set amount of experience based on how well you perform. As you train, you can gain skill points to make your player exactly how YOU want them.
Skill Tree Traits
There is still a lot to learn about individual skill traits. EA has shown the seven archetypes you can focus on to level up your player. Here are the different archetypes:
- Physical
- Defending
- Dribbling
- Passing
- Shooting
- Pace
- Goalkeeping
Within these different archetypes, you progress down the skill tree, picking up traits along the way. They’ll focus on every aspect of the game. Whether you’re going to be a box-to-box maestro, a free-kick specialist, a clinical striker, or a tricky winger, you can focus on what you want to do.
As you progress through the game, you will want to focus on your position skillset and what makes you a master at that. While it may be fun to get max points in every aspect of the game, you’ll want to give it some sort of realism.
