LEC 2022 Spring Week 7 Recap
The most important matches since the start of the season took the stage on LEC 2022 Spring Week 7 and here is our recap of this great esports competition!
LEC 2022 Spring Week 7 Day 1
Results:
- MAD Lions | 0 – 1 |EXCEL
- Team BDS | 1 – 0 | Astralis
- Team Vitality | 1 – 0 | SK Gaming
- Rogue | 0 – 1 | Fnatic
- Misfits Gaming | 1 – 0 | G2 Esports
What happened:
After parting ways with Marek “Humanoid” Brazda and Matyas “Carzzy” Orsag, MAD Lions struggled so much this season. The team failed to take down EXCEL and increased their losing streak to five games. On the other hand, EXCEL secured a very important win for the playoffs. In the matchup between two bottom teams, Team BDS and Astralis, the French team came up stronger and secured their first win in a while. The result didn’t affect the standings as both teams were out of the playoff competition.
Team Vitality’s super-team is on the knife’s edge as they are trying to stay in the playoff bracket. The team increased the difference between their closest competitor, MAD Lions, by winning their first game of the LEC 2022 Spring Week 7. Luka “Perkz” Perkovic and his friends are almost safe but things could change in the last week of the regular season.
The first and second-seeded teams, Rogue and Fnatic, came up against each other and Fnatic took down the leader to get closer to the leadership spot. Ivan Martin “Razork” Diaz’s performance was on point for FNC. Lastly, Misfits Gaming continued its impressive performance against G2 Esports. Just like before, Vincent “Vetheo” Berrie stepped up for his team and won the MVP award.

LEC 2022 Spring Week 7 Day 2
Results:
- Team Vitality | 1 – 0 | Misfits Gaming
- SK Gaming | 0 – 1 | Astralis
- Rogue | 1 – 0 | EXCEL
- Team BDS | 0 – 1 | G2 Esports
- MAD Lions | 0 – 1 | Fnatic
What happened:
Team Vitality stopped Misfits Gaming’s march with a confident win. Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek won the MVP award with his superb performance which gave Vitality their second win in a row. SK Gaming’s playoff hopes were low but after losing to Astralis, those hopes are almost gone now. Despite being out of the race, Astralis still makes trouble for other teams in the league. SK will have to win three games in a row and wait for Vitality to lose.
After losing to Fnatic, Rogue picked up an important win before last week to keep their heads up. EXCEL’s playoff hopes are still very strong so this loss probably didn’t upset them too much but they will come up against G2 Esports, SK Gaming, and Fnatic in the last week, which seems like a hard schedule.

G2 Esports guaranteed their playoff spot one week before the end as they secured an easy win over Team BDS. Rasmus “caPs” Winther had a magnificent performance to carry his team against BDS to qualify for playoffs. Lastly, MAD Lions faced another loss, the sixth in a row, which stifled playoff hopes. Fnatic on the other hand kept their one win difference with the leader.
