LCS 2022 Spring Week 6 Day 1
Results
- Golden Guardians | 0 – 1 | 100 Thieves
- FlyQuest | 0 – 1 | Counter Logic Gaming
- Team Liquid | 1 – 0 | Evil Geniuses
- Immortals | 0 – 1 | Cloud9
- TSM | 0 – 1 | Dignitas
What happened:
The last champion of LCS, 100 Thieves, had one win and one loss last week and the North American organisation needed more to secure its playoff spot. In the first game of the week, 100 Thieves managed to upset Golden Guardians and damaged its opponent’s playoff hopes. Golden Guardians will need more wins to qualify for the upper stage. Secondly, Counter Logic Gaming pulled out a surprising win over FlyQuest. FLY had an ascending graphic since the start of the split but the team failed to dominate CLG, one of the weakest teams of the previous weeks. However, CLG looked scary in its first game of the week.
Cloud9’s partner in the leadership spot, Team Liquid, picked up an important win over Evil Geniuses that affected the standings in a serious way. Evil Geniuses needs to get more wins in order to qualify for playoffs and Team Liquid has to continue its winning streak to become the leader of the regular season. Cloud9 on the other hand demolished Immortals and gave its fourth loss in a row. C9 picked up its seventh win in a row and remained in the leadership spot. Lastly, TSM lost another game this season, against Dignitas. As FlyQuest lost its game, it was very important for Dignitas to win against TSM as both teams try to be in the first four spots.

- FlyQuest | 0 – 1 | 100 Thieves

What happened:
In the opening game of the second day, the leaders collided and Cloud9 picked up the win. As a result, C9 is the only remaining leader of the regular season and the organisation picked up its eighth win in a row. On the other hand, Team Liquid faced a huge problem against its opponent, before the playoffs. FlyQuest’s descending graphic continued as the team faced another loss against 100 Thieves. 100T secured its third win in a row and got closer to Team Liquid as there are two wins left between these two.
Evil Geniuses picked up an easy but important win against TSM. TSM has no claims on playoffs as the team is at two wins at the very bottom of the standings. Evil Geniuses got closer to FlyQuest with this win. Dignitas secured its third win in a row to strengthen its playoff hopes. The team is now matched with FlyQuest for the fourth spot. Immortals’ defeat meant the fifth loss in a row for the team. IMT’s playoff hopes are almost dead. Lastly, Counter Logic Gaming continued to surprise everyone with another win, this time over Golden Guardians. CLG is now one win away from the playoff bracket.
