The Spring Split of LPL 2022 is done and now it is time for the playoffs. One of China’s biggest esports tournaments, LPL hosted great competition throughout the season as the playoff race continued until the last week. We may see even greater fights in the playoffs. Bilibili Gaming – Rare Atom

Recently, Bilibili Gaming decided part ways with the legendary marksman, Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao. According to the announcement, the parties parted ways due to Uzi’s medical issues and also conflicts within the game. Even though it may look like a big loss, BLG didn’t look at their best from with Uzi on the rift. Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan has always been athe better option for the organization throughout the split. During the regular season, BLG and RA faced each other once and it resulted in favor of Bilibili Gaming with a score of 2-0. Besides, BLG’s roster quality and chemistry looks better on paper. Considering Rare Atom’s descending form as the team lost its last two regular season games, it is more likely to see BLG moving on to the next round.

EDward Gaming – FunPlus Phoenix

Surprisingly, EDG and FPX will face each other in the opening round of this split’s LPL playoffs. Both organisations failed to impress their fans with this split, considering their previous years. EDward Gaming secured ten wins in the regular season and finished the stage at seventh spot. On the other hand, FunPlus Phoenix barely made it to the playoffs with eight wins. EDG kept its successful roster from last year but FunPlus Phoenix signed many new talents, starting with Kim “Clid” Tae-min and Kim “gori” Tae-woo. However, the famous esports organization lacked chemistry.

It will definitely be one of the closest matchups of the playoffs but EDward Gaming is one step ahead considering both teams’ regular season performances. With Lee “Scout” Ye-chan and Park “Viper” Do-hyeon’s lead, EDG will probably match Weibo Gaming in the second round.

Top Esports, Weibo Gaming, LNG Esports, JD Gaming, Royal Never Give Up, and Victory Five will be waiting for their opponents in the upper stages. According to the ruleset, teams matched each other as a result of their regular season performances. The first two seeded teams, Victory Five and Royal Never Give Up, will have a better chance to represent their region at MSI 2022. However, we have seen many teams lifting the trophy coming from lower brackets and first rounds in the LPL history.
