Team SoloMid and Counter Logic Gaming Big Winners in LCS Weekend
League of Legends LCS weekend recap. The summer split of the North American League of Legends Championship Series ( LCS) is underway, and we have had the opportunity to enjoy some great matchups.
The LCS, like its sister leagues in Asia and Europe, has a consistent fanbase as they watch their favorite esports teams compete for a chance at the League of Legends (LoL) World Championship. Let’s take a look at this past weekend’s LCS recap.
LCS Weekend Winners
This weekend’s LCS was still the best of one series for all the teams involved, and we had some really fun matchups. The biggest winners in last weekend’s matches were Team SoloMid (TSM) and Counter Logic Gaming ( CLG). Both LoL teams were dominant, going 3-0 throughout the weekend. TSM got the best shots of Immortals and Team Dignitas. They also surprisingly crushed Cloud9 on the last day of the weekend.
Cloud Logic Gaming completely dismantled 100 Thieves and carried that energy into every match along the way. CLG was the most impressive team this weekend because they dominated every team with almost an average of 20 kills a game.
LCS Weekend Losers
The biggest loser this weekend was Flyquest. Unfortunately, Flyquest was not able to capture a win over the three days. Flyquest looked outmatched in many of their matches, outside of their final game on Sunday against 100 Thieves. Although they played their best game on the last day of the weekend, it was not enough for them to capture a win.
Golden Guardians were another team who did not see much success either. The Guardians got off to a good start after beating Team Dignitas on Friday. However, they were completely overwhelmed by Team Liquid and CLG. We probably will not be seeing either of these teams at the League of Legends World Championships.
Top Players that competed
Huni and Lost have been really good for Team SoloMid. Unlike CLG, who completely dominated their competition, TSM had to grind out many of their wins. Huni and Lost were major factors for TSM’s success this past weekend. It was clear that Huni and Lost have the experience to deal with high-pressure situations. The entire TSM team was good; however, those two completely stood as TSM ground their way to a 3-0 weekend.
CLG’s Finn was also most impressive to watch this weekend. As dominant as CLG was, Finn’s use of Kledd and Sett was fun to watch.
Next LCS Event
Friday, June 25th – June 27th are the next LCS events for fans to watch. Fans can watch the next set of matches in the Summer split through Twitch and YouTube broadcasts. This Sunday’s matches between TSM and Liquid, along with CLG and Cloud 9 are ones to get excited for. To the LoL bettors, good luck trying to decide where to stake your money.
