Game Space Will Deliver Genesis Badge NFTs to One Billion Steam Users
Game Space is running an NFT airdrop campaign for one billion Steam users from July 28, 2022, to August 28, 2022. The event is intended to attract users to the Game Space ecosystem and reward their interest in Web3-based games.
In order to participate, users will need to download the Game Space Wallet App and bind their Steam accounts to the application. Upon doing so, they may claim the Genesis Badge NFT, which can be used in its games, such as Merge Bird.
The exclusive Game Space badge cannot be resold but will change over time. Steam users who have been linked with Game Space for less than one year will receive a bronze badge. If they have been registered for more than a year, they may obtain a Level1 Merge Bird NFT. Users with more than two years are eligible for a silver badge and Level2 NFT. After three years, users can receive a gold badge and Level3 NFT.
“… It is targeted at real users on Steam to receive AirDrop rewards, the goal is for Web2 players to enter the Web3 world and play GameFi games,” CEO of Game Space Michael Cameron explained the aim of the event.
About Game Space
Game Space is a Singapore-based software development company behind the first “GameFi as a service” platform that enables AAA studios to transition their game to Web3. The company provides a convenient software development kit (SDK) that can easily be integrated into existing games and applications. This SDK takes little time and resources to work with and allows developers to easily develop and customize GameFi functionality.
This GameFi functionality also extends to support for various tokens with minimal effort. While Game Space only affects ETH and BSC right now, there are plans to support multiple public chains such as IMX, POLYGON, FLOW and many others. Players are able to trade tokens and assets with Game Space’s fully functional, built-in NFT trading marketplace, which is able to support multi-currency transactions. There is a centralized and decentralized version of the marketplace as different gaming studios have different needs and goals.
In order to further improve accessibility for new developers and small creators, Game Space’s solutions require very little upfront payment. Fees will only be charged after transactions are able to be generated by the deployment, allowing studios without many resources to start their games up without worrying too much about their cost.
In addition, the company also has a Customer Experience team to provide guidance to studios new to deploying a Web3 technology-based project. Much of the features it offers are aimed at minimizing the barrier of entry for developers, allowing them to focus on creating games and applications attractive to users.
In the future, Game Space hopes Steam can implement its “GameFi as a service” platform to allow any Web2 users to access Web3 with minimal hassle so as to enable it to be available on multiple different platforms, which in turn will allow gamers to access their games without being constrained by any barriers.
